Topology GuidesGuides for 3d Artists. Run by Johnson Martin
Origen: Topology Guides
Creating believable human face has been one of ultimate goals of many 3D artists. The process of creating an average human face is nothing new or rather a very old topic, however to aichive the most realistic and natural-looking possible we have to make the best out of every step we do: from collecting references, planning before modeling, topology, texturing, rendering…etc.
What is Sketchfab?
Your 3D models belong here
Sketchfab is a web service to publish, share and embed interactive 3D models online in real-time without plugin. The world around us is in 3D, but the web is still in 2D, and we want to change that. We think your 3D models deserve something better than screenshots or “showreel” videos. That’s why we created Sketchfab. We understand 3D and bring it to the web. Take a look at our intro video below to learn more.

Flat Surface Shader
Admit it, 3D is cool. But, you know what’s cooler…? 2D.
I love WebGL, but unfortunately it doesn’t work everywhere.
This lighting simulation can be configured to use either the 2D context of a canvas element or an array of SVG polygons to draw the triangles. It also utilises native Float32Arrays to store numerical data for highly optimised calculations.
This is a collaborative effort between
Matthew Wagerfield and Tobias van Schneider – a couple of pandas trying to make the web a more magical place.

vía Introduction – YouTube 3D Help.
In 1972 Ed Catmull (founder of Pixar) and his colleagues created the world’s first 3D rendered movie, an animated version of Ed’s left hand. This is the film that they produced. It includes some “making of” footage (around 1:30) and some other early experiments. Read more at nerdplusart.com.
